Beth Jusino is an award-winning writer, developmental editor, teacher, and publishing consultant with more than twenty years of experience helping individuals navigate the complicated space between first draft and published book.

Beth is the author of The Author’s Guide to Marketing: Make a Plan That Attracts More Readers and Sells More Books (You Might Even Enjoy It) and Walking to the End of the World: A Thousand Miles on the Camino de Santiago. She’s been a collaborator, contributor, or ghostwriter to dozens of additional titles published by large and small presses. As a developmental editor, she’s worked with hundreds of writers in both fiction and nonfiction, helping each draw out their own unique story.

Beth is a member of The Authors Guild and the Northwest Editors Guild, where she is a volunteer mentor for new and aspiring editors, and she teaches the crafts of writing and marketing at dozens of conferences and gatherings each year.

Beth spent five years as a literary agent with Alive Literary Agency, where she represented a diverse list of best-selling and emerging authors, and three years as the Director of Author and Book Marketing for The Editorial Department. She has also worked as a writer, editor, and marketer for nonprofits, including MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) InternationalParkour Visions, and local chapters of the American Red Cross and the United Way.

Beth grew up near the New Jersey shore and earned her BA in political science. She lives in Seattle. When her nose is not buried in a book, her “for fun” reading list is eclectic, with favorite authors ranging from Annie Dillard to Paolo Bacigalupi, Erik Larson to Jennifer Egan.
